Traffic Safety Measures and Challenges of Confrontation

The Dar Al-Anbar for Culture Organization held, on Monday, 2/3/2026, in cooperation with the College of Law at the University of Al-Maarif and the Anbar Traffic Directorate, a panel discussion titled “Traffic Safety Measures and Challenges of Confrontation,” with distinguished academic, official, and community attendance.

The seminar included two main themes. The first addressed the procedural aspects of reducing traffic accidents, where a representative of the Anbar Traffic Directorate reviewed the key field measures currently implemented, as well as the major challenges facing traffic operations. Emphasis was placed on the need to intensify awareness campaigns and strengthen compliance with traffic laws.

The second theme highlighted the Iraqi Traffic Law from an analytical legal perspective, outlining the main provisions regulating road traffic, the penalties for violations, and the importance of enhancing legal awareness among drivers to reduce accidents.

The seminar was moderated by Dr. Omar Al-Rifai, who, in his closing remarks, stressed the importance of continued cooperation between academic institutions and relevant traffic authorities, given its vital role in promoting public safety and reinforcing a culture of legal compliance.

This seminar is part of a series of activities aimed at raising community awareness on traffic safety issues and contributing to reducing accidents in order to protect lives and property.
